•    First in Malaysia to perform a double heart transplantation (redo) within 24 hours
•    First in Malaysia to perform heart and lungs transplantation
•    First in the region to implant a breathing pacemaker for patients on ventilator
•    3-dimensional transesophageal echo guided percutaneous transluminal mitral commisurotomy
•    Percutaneous closure of secundum atrial septal defect with Heartmate septal occlude
•    Performed total corrective cardiac surgery on a smallest baby weighing 2.3kg

2006
•    First in Asia Pacific region to implant biodegradable Kalangos ring in mitral valve repair
