Institut Jantung Negara (IJN) has increased its contribution to the IJN Foundation from RM3.5 million to RM4.5 million this year, reinforcing its commitment to ensuring financial hardship does not prevent patients from receiving life-saving heart treatment.

The cheque was presented by IJN Group Chief Executive Officer Prof Datuk Seri Dr Mohamed Ezani Md Taib to IJN Foundation Chairman Toh Puan Datuk Seri Dr Hajjah Aishah Ong, witnessed by IJN Chairman Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah.

“At IJN, we believe that financial constraints should never stand in the way of a patient receiving life-saving treatment. By increasing our contribution this year, we hope to reach more patients and provide greater relief to those in need,” said Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah.

Since 1995, the IJN Foundation has provided RM88.7 million in patient assistance, helping nearly 7,000 underprivileged individuals undergo heart surgeries and treatments.

As IJN Foundation marks its 30th anniversary, it continues to seek contributions from corporations and individuals to expand its impact.
