15 Jan IJN Selected As Live Transmission Site For ASEAN’s Largest Cardiology Event

Jan 15 : The Institut Jantung Negara announced that its Paediatric & Congenital Heart Centre (PCHC) was selected as one of the live transmission sites for the A-Z Vietnam Interventional Meeting, one of the largest congenital interventional cardiology gatherings in ASEAN.
This prestigious event, taking place in Vietnam, will bring together some of the world’s foremost experts in congenital heart disease, providing a platform to showcase IJN’s expertise and the exceptional capabilities of its medical professionals. The live transmission will feature advanced procedures conducted by IJN’s experienced specialists, offering insights into cutting-edge techniques and innovations.
During the live transmission advanced procedures performed by IJN’s paediatric cardiology team on patients ranging from 3 weeks old to 15 years old on Transcatheter Pulmonary Valve Implantation, Ductal Stenting Procedure in a neonate with Ebstein anomaly and Coronary Artery Fistula Device Closure
The procedures were led paediatric cardiologists, Dr. Marhisham Che Mood, Datuk Dr. Mazeni Alwi and Dr. Leong Ming Chern
Head of PCHC, Dr. Marhisham Che Mood, expressed his pride in the centre’s selection: “Being chosen as a live transmission site for this significant meeting is a tremendous honour for IJN and Malaysia. The A-Z Vietnam Interventional Meeting is currently underway from 15 January to 17 January 2025 in Vietnam, drawing participation from leading cardiologists and medical professionals across ASEAN and beyond.
