Pulmonary Hypertension

A life-threatening disease of the heart and lungs. Patients with this disease have high blood pressure in the vessels of the lungs. This can happen because of narrowed or blocked arteries.

There are five categories of Pulmonary Hypertension, which are Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension, Pulmonary Hypertension due to left heart disease, Pulmonary Hypertension due to lung disease and / or hypoxia, Chronic Thromboembolic Pulmonary Hypertension (CTEPH) and Pulmonary Hypertension with unclear and / or multifactorial mechanisms.
