Lung Cancer

Lung Cancer is the most common cancer in the world among men and the 3rd most common cancer in Malaysia.
There are two types of lung cancer:

  • Small cell lung cancer
  • Non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC)
    • Adeno-carcinoma
    • Squamous cell
    • Large cell

Chest Wall & Mediastinal Tumour

Chest wall tumours are benign or malignant tumours that affect pulmonary functions.
They are classified as:

  • Primary tumours, formed in the chest wall.
  • Secondary tumours, which spread to the chest wall.

A mediastinal tumour is a rare neoplasm that grows on the mediastinum. They are divided based on the tumour location: front mediastinum, middle mediastinum and back mediastinum

  • Bronchoscopy / pleuroscopy
  • Chest X-Ray / CT Scans / PET Scans

Treatment

  • Bronchoscopy
  • Pleuroscopy
  • Mediastinoscopy
  • Video-Assisted Thoracoscopic Surgery (VATS)
  • Surgery
