WHO SHOULD TAKE THIS SCREENING

Individuals aged 40 and above have a significantly higher chance of developing Peripheral Artery Disease [PAD). Unfortunately, many people with PAD have mild or no symptoms.

But if you experience leg pain even when walking short distances, you should make an appointment and have it checked out immediately.

Untreated, PAD sufferers are at risk of developing serious problems effecting the heart or even the brain!

WHEN SHOULD YOU HAVE A HEALTH SCREENING

We recommend having regular or annual screening. This is because early, timely detection is crucial when it comes to heart health. Screenings are even more important if you have any of the risk factors below.

  • High blood pressure
  • High cholesterol
  • Smokes regularly and drinks alcohol
  • Overweight
  • Diabetes
  • Prolonged periods of stress
  • Family history of heart disease, stroke or cancer
  • Never had a health screening
TAKING CARE OF YOUR HEART

It might be cliche, but prevention really is the best solution when it comes to heart disease.

  • EAT HEALTHY
  • MAINTAIN A HEALTHY WEIGHT
  • SAY NO TO SMOKING AND ALCOHOL
  • EXERCISE REGULARLY
  • KNOW YOUR FAMILY HISTORY
