Dietetics & Food Services

We are a team of Dietitians providing Medical Nutrition Therapy for both adult and paediatric inpatients and outpatients. Our services include Nutrition Counselling and Education as well as Nutrition Support for individuals and groups with the following medical conditions:

  • Hyperlipidemia and hypertension
  • Diabetes Mellitus
  • Renal diseases (dialysis or non-dialysis)
  • Heart failure
  • Stroke
  • Obesity
  • Failure to Thrive in Congenital Heart Disease
  • Heart valve replacement or repair requiring warfarin therapy

External professional nutrition services:

  • Nutrition talks and workshops for public and healthcare professionals
  • Media-related activities e.g. interviews, talk shows, nutrition articles
  • Cooking demonstrations and development of recipes for health conditions
  • Nutrition screening for the community

Outpatient Diet Consultation Clinics

We accept referrals from IJN outpatient clinics and General Practitioners. Please bring along referral letter from the referring doctor with latest blood test results.

  • Block A: Ground Floor and Level 6 Wellness Centre

Food Services

Our Food Services team provides inpatient meals with a variety of local and western cuisine according to patients’ nutrition requirements. All meals served are Halal and have achieved Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) food safety standards. Other services include:

  • Designing menus and recipes for organizations and food outlets
  • Undergraduate industrial training for Food Services
