Outpatient Payment
- For an outpatient appointment, your bill will consist of consultation fees and additional charge will be added depending test or/and treatment carried out
- Do check your insurance company name, scheme details, your membership or policy number and conformation of eligibility of treatments such as a pre-authorization or claim reference number
- If you are unable to provide the full insurance details or if your insurance does not cover the full cost of your outpatient treatment, a bill will be issued on any hospital charges on the day of your visit
Payment for in-patient and daycare patients
- For most patients, treatment costs are based on agreements and payment will be made directly by your insurance company
Sundry items
- In addition to the main treatment cost, there are other sundry items that you may need to pay for. These excesses and balances are not covered by private health insurance. you may need to pay on your own before leaving the hospital. These include:
- Insurance excess or pitfall if your treatment charges exceeded your policy limits
- Specialist equipment to aid recovery. E.g. nebulizer machines, walking aids
- Additional medications on discharge that are not already included in the overall treatment arrangement
- Personal expenses such as phone calls, meals for visitors, newspapers
Your insurance company will advise you regarding the outstanding payment due to insufficient coverage, or excess expenditure. An invoice details on the outstanding charges will be issued directly to you.
